About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for a HRIS Specialist to join the People & Culture, System Transformation department of BOQ Group (which includes Bank of Queensland, Virgin Money Australia and ME Bank). The purpose of this position is to partner closely with key stakeholders in P&C and the wider BOQ community to identify, translate & implement requirements with the Workday technical team which will see you providing your expertise in advanced Workday configuration.

As an integral member of the team, a major focus for this position will be to support the bank in providing solutions to maximise the user experience of our systems through self service capability. You will provide intuitive and in-depth analysis of current business process trends and provide suggested solutions on how Workday and other P&Csystems can better meet the business’ needs – with an improved user experience always being the goal. With a key element to this in being pivotal member in coaching thebusiness to develop theirsystem knowledge and expertise.

This role will see you involved in supporting our strategic pillars including,risk, and effectively & efficiently identifiing and managing therisks, controls and dependencies with people processes and associated automation. It will also see you exemplify the BOQ Group values of Spirited, Optimistic, Curious,Inclusive, Accountable and Lionhearted to contribute to the purpose of Building Social Capital throughBanking.

Other responsibilities will include:
Creating documentation for new processes & update existing documentation based on enhancements made to existing processes and tools
Overseeing the management ofsecurity within Workday to ensure security balances need for risk management enabling people to perform their roles with the collaboration of theWorkday team. This includes ensuring compliance with BOQs delegatedauthority policy/practice
Working with all business units to identify data to be converted from legacy systems when and where applicable
Becoming an expert in the Workday product suite –with a primary focus on Core HR functionality, Compensation, Absence Management, Job Architecture & Reporting
Understanding of the following functional areas: General, Ledger, Accounts,Payable, Accounts, Receivable,Procurement,Asset Management, Expense Management, Projects, Performance, Talent and Learning
Act as internal consultant regardingsystem capabilities and represent all business units in design and modification efforts for continual system alignment with business objectives
Work as a part of a project and business as usual team to support architecture, scoping, implementation and post-production phases of the projects

About you

We are seeking a pro-active, self-starter with exceptional communication skills, stakeholder engagement, expectation management and the ability to explain complicated concepts. You will be analytically minded and curious to gain deeper understandings of complex data and systems. Your existing knowledge of Workday will be instrumental for this role, as you will have a strong understanding and applied skills in Workday configuration design, best practice design principles, testing and implementation.

Other attributes you will possess are:
Experience in Workday HCM business process design, management and impacts
Ablility to work autonomously to deliver outcomes based on clear objectives.
Experience with systems integration
Experience of object-based database and reporting configuration
Knowledge of finance, integration and reporting processes and lifecycle events and how they relate overall to the broader business while adhering to relevant legislative requirements.
Proven ability to promote innovation.
Proven systems and analytics ability
You will actively continue to keep up with Workday updates and the Workday Community with the key being to gain insights and leverage learning through others.
