About the role:
The HSE Advisor role provides functional support, assistance and advisory services to the Chevron sites to ensure management and workers are aware of their obligations in relation to quality systems and statutory compliance relating to health, safety and environment.
Based in Malaga, with regular site visits, the role provides functional advice to assist in the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the HSE Management Standards and processes relevant to Chevron sites.

  • Provide direction and reports detailing improvements and corrective actions where applicable and provide functional support to ensure such improvement and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Schedule and deliver HSE compliance and operational training to employees, as required and in accordance with procedures, standards and legislation.
  • Assist with the development of relevant compliance management procedures, and advice to ensure the Chevron sites are compliant concerning all relevant HSE regulations and Group Quality systems.
  • Conduct incident investigations to determine root causes, contributing factors and corrective actions and communicate key learnings to relevant stakeholders.
About you:
Our preferred candidate will have at least two years of experience in an HSE Advisor role within a resources/ waste management/ transport or heavy industrial environment with strong regulatory interpretation and application skills.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116).
  • Strong auditing and/or investigation skills.
  • Heavy Vehicle/ Forklift Licence (or willing to obtain).
  • Working knowledge of relevant Safety and Environmental legislation & Standards and Compliance.
