What does the role involve?
Working at one of our various project sites and as essential member of the team, your experience and skills will be important in ensuring that all onsite work meets the relevant quality and safety standards. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible to:
Monitor and provide advice to site Management on Health, Safety, Environment and Legislative requirements.
Provide training and assessment to Operators and Maintenance Personnel (VOC on site) to meet relevant standards and requirements.
Identify changes in national competency standards and ensure appropriate changes are made to training and assessment materials.
Assist management in training needs analysis to ensure training is accurately targeted and cost effective as well as maintaining accurate training and assessment records.
Conduct inspections ad audits of site operations and ensure HSE performance is reported in accordance with Client's systems.
Monitor compliance with HSE plans and environmental requirements.
Conduct project induction as well as assisting in the running of pre-start meetings and weekly toolbox meetings.
Assist Supervisors in developing individuals in hazard recognition and control implementation.
Skills and Experiences:
What we are looking for:
You will have relevant qualifications in related areas must essentially minimum certificate IV in Workplace health and safety and training and assessment as well as significant experienced in similar role with particular emphasis in civil mining. You must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of HSE requirements in mining related industries. You must also have:
Incident investigation qualification (ICAM)
Senior first aid certificate or equivalent
"C" class drivers’ licence and 4WD certificate
White card/blue card
Resources Client inducted.
Excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player.
