We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives for our client's team in Toowoomba. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive HSE management systems and strategies tailored to the construction industry.
- Lead the development and enforcement of HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to site HSE teams and personnel, fostering a proactive approach to hazard identification and risk management.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate HSE requirements into project planning and execution processes.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs and toolbox talks to enhance awareness and competency among construction personnel.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE regulations, industry trends, and best practices, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in a senior HSE management role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction-related HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective HSE management systems and programs.
