Your Next Step
As we pursue our vision of “our drinks on every table” and by keeping people central to our mission, Refresco Australia is investing heavily in its health, safety and sustainability strategy by seeking an exceptional Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to support operations and production.
Reporting to the National HSE Manager, these brand-new roles present an exciting opportunity for candidates to be a part of building and establishing a robust and sustainable HSE Management System while driving an HSE culture within a company focused on growth and innovation.
Key responsibilities :
- Direct the development and implementation of Refresco’ s HSE Management System within the locations supported;
- Accurate and prompt incident / event / hazard reporting and investigation;
- Management of incidents, injuries and near misses;
- Direct site-level incident investigations to drive improvements and increase our HSE capacity;
- Support the rollout of HSE projects and critical risk reduction plans;
- Verifying compliance against national / state / local legislation, industry codes, Australian Standards and ISO;
- Perform routine and ad hoc HSE inspections and observations;
- Verify safety and environmental compliance across the sites, i.e. test and tag, dangerous goods management, annual vessel pressure testing and equipment calibration;
- Consolidate lead and lag indicators for each site to ensure accurate reporting against Refresco business KPIs;
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of HSE training respective to the sites supported;
- Updating of critical documentation such as procedures, site risk registers, SOPs, SDS and HSE alerts;
- Update HSE dashboards, online reporting systems and platforms such as SharePoint;
- Perform drug & alcohol testing; and
- Management of workers compensation claims, including reporting, claim management and return to work programs.
To be successful in this role you will possess the following;
- 3-5+ years' experience in a multi-site or consultative HSE role ideally with experience in the manufacturing industry;
- Qualifications in OHS and Environmental discipline (Certificate IV/Diploma or above) with a minimum of Diploma or Bachelor’s or Post-Graduate degree in a relevant field;
- Track record of developing, implementing and evaluating aspects of a corporate HSE Management System;
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to be agile in decision making and execute in a face-paced and growing global organisation;
- Proficient in the use of MS Office 365 Suite, including SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams.
