Swicker’s Kingaroy Bacon Factory Pty Ltd is an export meat processing facility, based in the South Burnett Region and is ideally located just 2 - 3 hours’ drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. Swicker’s has been in operation in Kingaroy for over 50 years and today employs approximately 800 employees.
As part of the Sunpork Group, Swicker’s is a state-of-the-art processing facility specialising solely in the production of fresh pork and distributing it widely across Australia and internationally. Swicker’s processes 95% of all Queensland’s pork production, including the production of various pork value-add products for consumers worldwide. Swicker’s is the largest Australian owned pork processor and continues to be a market leader in pork production.

The opportunity
We are looking to appoint a HR Administrator PALM Reconciliation that shares our commitment to quality and customer service, based in HR team at Swickers Kingaroy Bacon Factory on a Maternity Leave Contract.
Supported by the Human Resources Manager, this role is responsible for the reconciliation and notification process of workers under the PALM Scheme. The role serves to ensure all regulatory requirements are met and that all relevant stakeholders are kept informed of any issues, changes in regulatory requirements and decisions needed relating to workers under the PALM Scheme.
Main duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Reconcile weekly rent invoice deductions;
- Reconcile utility invoice deductions;
- Reconcile gas bottle invoice deductions;
- Reconcile Upfront payment for unforeseen medical expenses;
- Reconcile all other items as required;
- Reconcile any damage costs direct (excess, repairs);
- Manage and upload Notifications to PLF / DEWR for welfare, wellbeing, transport, payroll, accommodation, safety;
- Draft and support contingencies plan submissions to PLF / DEWR and present to HR Manager;
- Draft and support End Of Employment (EOE) – Notifications to PLF / DEWR and completion per deed requirement and present to HR Manager;
- Attend inspections and review Bi-Monthly housing Inspections condition reports completed by FIP. Ensure reports are in accordance with QLD rental housing requirements and PALM Deed.
- Draft and support Visa updates / extensions / endorsements / submissions and present to HR Manager.
- Notification to DEWR of employee movement between properties
- Manage and notify Payroll of employee movement and deduction changes;
- Document control and filing;
- Complete required reporting for the HR team;
- Maintain all information in a strictly confidential manner at all times;
- To provide a trustworthy and honest service to the business at all times;
- Complete all other necessary administration work as required by the HR Manager;

Hours of work will be approximately Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm
