An exciting opportunity is on offer for a Human Resources & Office Administrator to join the Business Operations team of this successful family owned business based in Melbourne’s South-eastern suburbs. Our client specializes in growing celery, leek, and baby leaf, supplying customers in Australia and Internationally.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager you will be who responsible for providing administrative support across the entire employee lifecycle as well as assisting with general office administrative duties.

Core Duties Include
Being a positive first point of contact for all HR enquiries
Support and assist with recruitment related activities, such as Ad creation, background screening, organising interview, reference checks and candidate management
Co-ordinate the onboarding process and induction for new employees
Provide general administration support including, but not limited to performance management, people growth and learning and employee departures and terminations
Manage the overall employee well-being by promoting a positive safety culture
Co-ordinate and maintain employee records including staff contracts, leave management and other information in accordance with legislative requirements
Manage weekly payroll with the Finance Team
Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes
Other administration tasks and processes as directed including managing general enquire, dealing directly with visitor, procurement of office equipment & stationary and assisting the finance team in ad-hoc duties from time to time
Participate / deliver Toolbox Talks and HR related Safety Moments
Ensure that all near misses, incidents and unacceptable behaviour are reported, investigated, and closed
Promote safe and respectable behaviour
Skills and Core Requirements
Prior experience in a similar role
Relevant Qualifications
Minimum 3 years work experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in liaising with a broad range of people
Ability to use judgement, initiative and common sense when performing duties
Strong organisational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritise multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
Emotional maturity
Highly resourceful team-player with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
Forward looking thinker who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
Ability to demonstrate initiative and creativity
