FHR are currently seeking a Human Resource Officer to join our client's internal team, Our Client Precision Hydro Excavations, enable communities to flourish through safe and effective environmental asset management
The Role
This role requires a skilled HR Officer who will recruit, support and develop the team in size as well as by developing policies and managing procedures. You will be responsible for administrative tasks and you'll contribute to making the company a better place to work.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
The key duties and responsibilities of the HR Officer will include but are not limited to:
Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
Actively lead the recruitment process by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
Provide counselling on policies and procedures
Create and implement effective onboarding plans
Develop training and development programs
Assist in performance management processes
Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
Maintain employee records (attendance, onsite working data, etc.) are up to date, and compliance is followed
Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
Work with the Office Manager to implement processes and procedures
Support the OHS process and provide assistance to improve best practice for the team
To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following as per role requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as HR officer, administrator or other HR position, in particular experience with recruitment
Freight or transport experience would be ideal
Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
