We are currently seeking a HR Advisor to join our national HR team and provide HR support to our Perth office. Reporting to the HR Manager based in Melbourne, this standalone role will allow you to work closely with the national HR team while partnering with the business locally to provide excellent HR service. This role is full time however applicants who are able to work 4 days per week will also be considered.
Ideally you will have experience in a similar role and organisation; however it's much more important to us that you bring the right skills and a positive, can do attitude.
What does the role involve?
Coordinate the recruitment process from end to end for all legal and non-legal roles
Be first point of contact to staff, supervisors and partners on all employment related matters including (but not limited to) performance management, disciplinary and grievance processes, pay, workplace behaviour, resourcing, and leave management
Assist with the implementation of local, national and global HR projects which may include diversity, women in leadership, working parents, wellbeing, induction, recruitment, reward and recognition, and learning and development
Provide support to staff, supervisors and partners on the annual performance review process
Coordinate graduate recruitment programs
Liaise with the Learning & Professional Development team to facilitate training
Drive work, health, safety and wellbeing activities in line with firm policy and relevant legislation
Help establish and actively participate in industry networks to profile the K&L Gates brand and attract potential talent.
About You

The successful applicant will be proactive in their approach and possess strong problem solving skills, along with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation. A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office is also expected as are excellent project management, organisation and communication skills.
You will ideally have prior experience working in a similar professional services environment, however this is not essential. We will consider applications from other industries who are looking to gain experience in a corporate legal environment.
