Our client is a leading East coast property group who have close to $10bil of projects to be delivered across high rise resi, mixed use, commercial and retail and due to this growth they have an immediate requirement for a HR Manager to join the group.
As the Human Resources Manager, you will work closely with the senior management team to develop and implement processes and procedures that enhance employee attraction, development, and retention. You will integrate yourself into the business and become a trusted advisor to management as well as a confidante to all employees. You will manage all aspects of the business’s human resource function to meet operational requirements, with the support of a Human Resource Coordinator and Payroll Administrator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee implementation of all HR processes within area of responsibility, including workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, talent management, talent acquisition and retention, and remuneration.
- Partner with colleagues to achieve targets through business and HR action plans.
- Work with senior managers to understand current issues that can be supported or resolved through HR practices, processes, or policies.
- Advise business leadership on the most effective solutions to resolve issues and support long-term objectives.
- Develop and execute recruitment, engagement and retention strategies and oversee the selection and onboarding of quality personnel.
- Manage the payroll function of the business and monitor HR/Payroll compliance.
- Manage the professional development and performance management process, in collaboration with line management and supervisors.
- Monitor employee engagement and retention, and collaborate with the team to continually improve.
- Develop the business’s training and development plan in conjunction with the Operations Manager, based on current and forecasted skills and training requirements.
- Identify and drive initiatives to improve business operations and performance.
- Create a culture of accountability and conducting timely management of people issues.
Essential Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management
- 5-10 years’ experience in business HR role
- Strong knowledge of HR legislative requirements
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills to effectively resolve issues in the workplace
- Advanced time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work autonomously and with team members interstate
- Hold a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and credibility
- Exceptional work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
- Building construction industry experience with working knowledge of the Building and Construction General On-Site Award desirable
- Good computer skills and proficiency in MS Office, MS Project and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
