Job description

Wolff Power is an innovative electrical consultancy/ contractor that specialises in construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance of high and low voltage, renewables, communication, overhead and underground networks across Queensland, New South Wales and overseas.

We are currently seeking motivated and driven HV Primary and Secondary Technicians to join our fast-growing organisation on a permanent basis from our Brisbane office. 

With a full pipeline of upcoming large-scale projects, you will have the opportunity to expand your industry knowledge with Wolff Power whilst working across a multitude of industries – one day is never the same!

About you:

  • Electrical trade and/or tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience leading a project and team. Willingness to mentor and grow team’s capability.
  • HV Switching Certificate
  • Advanced technical skills in testing and maintenance of electrical and protection systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving, solution identification and fault finding.
  • Demonstrated ability in communicating to, collaborating, and maintaining long-term relationships with clients.
  • Experience using OMICRON (CMC, CPC, etc.) and other testing equipment (ductor, Cibano, CB timing equipment, VLF, etc.), ETAP and CAD experience (desirable).
  • Proven ability to plan and prepare for a job successfully and foresee and mitigate challenges prior to mobilisation.
  • Strong ability in planning projects and project-specific resources
  • Confined spaces and Working at Heights qualifications
  • CPR / Low Voltage Rescue qualification
  • Strong focus on safety and safety procedures (SWMS, Take-5s, etc.) and leading or participating in project-based workshops such as pre-starts, toolboxes, SIMOPS, HAZIDs, Risk Assessments
  • Willingness to travel and be away from home periodically within Australia and overseas.
