- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Any candidate with demonstrated experience in underground infrastructure, T&D, mining, dams and reservoirs engineering would be considered.
- Keen interest in hydropower and some basic understanding of conventional hydropower and PHES.
- Professional consultancy or asset owner experience.

Mott MacDonad has secured significant workload in the hydropower and dams sector and is seeking candidates to join our Brisbane hydropower team. We are a leading provider of Hydropower Engineering services with a growing portfolio of projects. We have been engaged in the study, design and delivery of major hydropower projects for over 80 years. We are actively seeking junior and senior engineers who are interested in pursuing a career in hydropower who can support and learn from our team of experienced multidisciplined professionals.
Your opportunity
As a member of our hydropower team, you will get to work with our local, national and international hydropower professionals to develop proposals and deliver engineering consultancy work across the full lifecycle of a hydropower project, from inception and concept level studies, detailed design, construction support, commissioning works, operations, maintenance and overhaul upgrade projects. The Hydropower Engineer will assist our project managers in the project planning and management activities of the projects while building your technical capabilities in the specific hydropower project aspects that align with your discipline and interests.
As an engineer in our hydropower team team, this role will see you support our team of engineers and technical specialists, preparing feasibility studies, calculations and outline/detailed engineering designs that align with your discipline and interests.
This role will present you with a fantastic opportunity to further develop your technical and leadership skills through your project work, with great prospects for career progression and expanding your skills and experience as the business continues to grow furthermore opening up a broader career path. We will provide a blend of additional roles covering project management, business development, line management, mentoring and resource management.
