Join the Digital Health Branch as a ICT Graduate on a fixed term temporary full-time basis for 2 years. The Digital Health Branch is looking for multiple ICT graduates who have recently completed, or are soon due to complete, undergraduate or postgraduate studies in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The graduate roles will be a two year temporary appointment and are designed to increase your skills, experience, knowledge, and to help you progress in your chosen profession.
The role:
As Graduates you will be assigned tasks appropriate to your level and the skills set required for each placement. Scope exists for exercising initiative in the application of established work practices and procedures, although this may require expertise to resolve issues within a day-to-day environment for which there may not be clearly established procedures.

Software development
- Demonstrated understanding and /or skills in relational database technologies (e.g. Oracle, SQL) and web services (e.g. XML), procedural programming languages (e.g. C) and object-oriented programming languages (e.g. VB, .Net, C#, C++), testing tools/techniques and development tools (e.g. version control software) and software development methodologies and life cycles.
Data analysis and database management
- Knowledge of relational database technology (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft SQL) and operating systems
Systems testing
- Knowledge of relational database technologies (e.g. Oracle, SQL) and web services (e.g. XML), testing tools/techniques and development tools (e.g. version control software), software development methodologies and life cycles (including quality assurance/testing) and software testing life cycles and testing tools.
Business analysis
- Possess a broad range of modelling skills including business process modelling.
ICT project support
- Practical ability with MS Office and MS Project
- Knowledge of project management (e.g. methodologies such as PRINCE2® or Project Management Body of Knowledge).
- Understanding of project reporting, scheduling and coordination and management of project risks, issues and dependencies.
ICT Generalist
- Ability to produce detailed and accurate work including high level writing skills
- Understanding of government writing styles, customer support
To be eligible for a graduate role, you should have completed or be close to completing a degree or post graduate qualification in:
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Telecommunications
- Project Management
- Web/multi media Design
- Or similar field of study
