One of Australia’s prominent Federal Government Departments is looking to engage an experienced Program / Project Manager to Lead and manage ICT project(s) or a program of work which contribute to the department’s strategic outcomes and objectives. The Program / Project Manager will develop and/or update Business Cases for large and complex ICT projects. The successful Program / Project Manager will be offered an initial 12 month contract along with 2 x 12 month extension options partnered with a rewarding hourly rate.
The successful Program / Project Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Documenting and managing the start-up, initiation, delivery, and closure of projects
- Developing and maintain an accurate project schedule and deliver products according to the schedule
- Developing and maintain the project budget and track costs and expenditure to deliver the project within tolerances
- Identifying, acquiring, and managing project staff and provide effective direction and leadership to the project team
The successful Program / Project Manager will have experience in the following:
- Experience in the design, planning and execution of projects which utilise a range of selected tools and methodologies
- High level skills in communication and engagement with stakeholders
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications
- Demonstrated ability to establish and lead multi-disciplinary teams
