About the Role…
Become a member of the Burnside Hospital ICT team and contribute to the hospital achieving our mission of providing safe, contemporary care for every patient, every time in current well-equipped facilities.
The IT Support Officer contributes to the efficient and effective operation of the Burnside War Memorial Hospital (BWMH) ICT environment and has primary support responsibility for first-level IT Service Desk service requests (tickets) and second-level administrative support. The position also assists the ICT team to monitor and manage the broader ICT environment including computer networks, security, services and telecommunication systems

To be considered for this new and exciting opportunity to join our amazing team, you will be able to demonstrate experience and capability in:-
- Demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision.
- Willingness to embrace and demonstrate the values of the organisation.
- Recognises, values and promotes diversity and inclusiveness.
- 1+ Years recent experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of IT security principles and best practices (including risk management).
- Knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, Routing/Switching, DNS, VPN).
- Experience in the administration of MS Windows products (Windows 10).
- Demonstrated experience in support ticket management including prioritisation, escalation and status reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of VMware and Citrix environments.
- Knowledge of SQL Databases.
