We are sourcing a permanent Electrical fitter for a cardboard manufacturing client based Kilburn. This Manufacturing plant processes, tumbles and corrugates board for print and media. The site has drums, dyes and inking automation as well as stackers, conveyors and press machines. Strapping and packing automation equipment all set up production line supported with PLC technology and some robotics.
Working day shift or night shift - we are open and flexible to the successful candidate on shift preference. Monday to Friday with only occasion Saturdays this role will be molded to suit flexible work arrangements from commencement.
Our client site requires this role to be responsible for fault-finding and working with multiple automation manufacturing equipment. This role will ideally be environment is the key to success in this role, as well as the ability to ensure electrical components are up to date with Australian standards.
Key Duties:
Ensure design of machinery is safe and maintenance to machinery is effected in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsible for 24/7 operations and able to participate with other engineers on an on-call roster
Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns, with the aim of minimising downtime.
Prioritise and effect jobs, in conjunction with the Maintenance & Engineering Manager
Assist to identify opportunities to improve the environmental performance of the company.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Ensure electrical components comply with Australian Standards.
Control and stock take spare parts and stocks of electrical products
About You:
Hold a current SA and full A-Grade Electrical trade certificate in the electrical field with ability to interpret drawings
Industry experience within a heavy manufacturing or processing environment.
Commitment to a ZERO harm culture within a heavy industrial environment
Maintain electrical installation standards and strong fault-finding ability for resolution of automation breakdowns
Understand and ensure work complies with controlled documents, and complete and maintain quality records when required by procedural documentation.
Understand the Environmental policy and adhere to the EMS and Environmental procedures that are relevant to the activities carried out.
