Form of workOIYA Tech is a privately owned and operated Industrial Automation business based in South-West Sydney that specialises in industrial projects and maintenance. There is an opportunity for the right candidate to become an Industrial Electrician.
We are looking for a team player who is energetic, switched-on and committed to completing their apprenticeship. Joining our team as an apprentice electrician. You will be guided by experienced trade qualified electricians who are the best in their field. Your apprenticeship will provide you with the theoretical and practical skills to develop yourself into a highly skilled and competent trades person. Areas of experience will learn about power and control wiring, PLC’s, robotics, variable speed drives, HVAC systems and fault finding.
Typical tasks that will be undertaking for this role:
- Preventative maintenance for plant and equipment
- Trouble shooting equipment faults
- Work with PLC's and instrumentation systems
- New Installation Projects
- Maintenance
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
- Hold a current driver’s licence/provisional licence
- Be on-track to complete your TAFE studies
- Have the ability to work both in a team or independently
- Be responsible and reliable
- Being conscientious about your work
- Being committed and motivated
- Numerical understanding and logical thinking
- Good mathematical learning abilities
- Adhere to all Work Health & Safety and Quality requirements
- Be able to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- Industrial experience performing installation, control panel building
- Interests in automation and robotics
