InfoCentric are currently hiring for a Principal Consultant to grow our existing Data Science division. As part of our team, you will be working with some of Australia's largest organisations to analyse their business needs and problems, and develop and implement solutions. This role is full time and permanent, based out of Melbourne.
Tasks may include but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinating and liaising with technical and non-technical staff such as Sales, Pre-Sales, Business Analyst, Implementation Consultants and the Product Development team for requirement gathering, analysis, verification and technical support throughout the sales cycles.
- Engage with technical and non-technical client stakeholders to understand business needs and challenges, leading client engagements.
- Utilise analytical, statistical and programming skills to collect, analyse and interpret large data sets.
- Use interpreted data sets to develop data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges.
- Build and implement solutions for identified business challenges, including predictive analysis and Machine Learning models.
- Successfully document all programs code, models, and algorithms through the use of best practises using various tools including, Confluence and GIT.
- Create end-user documentation and technical document for clients and technical teams.
- Perform requirements and risk analysis, which include activities like consulting stakeholders, gathering business requirements and creating risk reports for the IT projects.
- Troubleshooting and debugging activities by using tools including R, Pandas, SciKit and Python to debug all the errors in the software code and make sure it adheres to the IT coding standards.
- Train and mentor a variety of technical people to further build out and enhance the Data Science team.
- Previous experience in utilising Data Platforms and complex data systems hosted on prem and on the Cloud (Azure and AWS)
- Proven experience in statistical analysis, understanding business data and business trends
- Strong skills with Python, R, Azure ML and AWS SageMaker.
- Proven skills in consulting with external clients, understanding needs and requirements, and managing stakeholders
- Experience in leading and mentoring teams of technical professionals
