I am working with a cultural institution to find an EL1 Information Manager.
This is a permanent position, to start in June 2024.
If you have experience working in the GLAM sector, your knowledge around preserving items (such as digital assets and artwork) from an artistic perspective will be an advantage.
In this role, be responsible for:
- Providing leadership over the organisation's information strategy, policy and supporting procedures
- Updating the organisation's Information Strategy Roadmap
- Ensuring improvement for the organisation's "Digital Check-up" survey results
- Actively contributing to the organisation's strategic direction and development of information management services supporting it’s core business
- Lead and implement a new information system to enable electronic documents and records. This will include managing the organisation's transition from physical to digital records in line with the National Archives of Australia policy
- Managing information and data security, controls and appropriate access for staff of document and records
- Overseeing the mail function (including screening, collection, self-service support and couriers)
- Managing the budget of the information management section
- Managing the organisation's relationship with vendors and couriers
- Be experienced with process improvement
- Be someone that others in the organisation can trust and approach
- Have experience in a similar role within government / large corporate organisation
- Have experience with leading a small team
- Be available to commence in June
- Be willing to obtain an NV1 level security clearance (or already have a clearance at this level)
