A fantastic opportunity awaits an experienced Infrastructure Architect to join one of Australia's leading energy suppliers, who have set themselves the ambitious goal of transitioning to renewable energy by 2035.
About the Role
Working closely with an existing architect in the IT Services team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining an enterprise architecture for the technology domain, and for guiding the development of solution architectures in concurrent projects.
The role will suit a highly skilled and versatile professional to join the team as an all-round designer, working on both roadmap and detailed design levels, with opportunities to contribute to interesting projects within the portfolio.
It is essential that you are a self-starter, able to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, work efficiently and collaborate with the team as necessary.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and maintain an enterprise architecture for the technology domain
Guide the development of solution architectures in concurrent projects
Provide technical information to project and vendor teams
Oversee technical solutions delivered by vendors and internal teams
Develop current, future, and transition states for the Foundation (ICT) portfolio and other key projects
Ensure that solution architecture aligns to agreed Enterprise Architecture standards and patterns
Lead impact analysis for proposed changes, governing the inputs from vendors where relevant
Provide architecture artefacts and principles to inform program, projects and vendors as requested
Present artefacts to the Architectural Governance Committee for approval
About You
Over 5 years of experience as a technical/infrastructure architect or enterprise solution architect
A successful track record of developing and implementing technical architecture with an understanding of cyber security considerations
Strong written and oral communication skills, including stakeholder, vendor, and senior executive interaction
Bachelor's degree in IT or other relevant subject
Relevant technology certifications, such as Azure, Microsoft, or Citrix (desirable)
Qualification in an Enterprise Architecture Framework (TOGAF or equivalent) (desirable)
An understanding of and experience with technologies across the whole technology stack
Hypervisors (VMware)
Compute – ability to specify workloads
Storage (SANs)
Network infrastructure (Cisco desired)
End User Compute
Mobility
Understanding of equivalent technologies in Azure Cloud e.g. virtual networking, storage and compute
