About the position

Council’s Engineering Services Department is looking for an Infrastructure Developments Engineer who will be responsible for providing efficient and effective delivery of best practice engineering approaches for development, subdivision, and asset services, in accordance with Council policies, strategies, and plans, including management of built infrastructure from design review to built form to the agreed standards.

The main responsibilities will include:
Formulate and develop recommendations on statutory planning referrals;
Review and approve construction plans for engineering proposals;
Undertake drainage system design checks of private developments; and
Manage the statutory procedures required for issuing completion notifications for subdivisions and private developments.

This is a permanent full-time position.

About you

As the successful candidate, you will have:
A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent;
Hold a current engineering registration in accordance with Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019;
Substantial experience and understanding of legislation and regulation requirements relevant to drainage, traffic, subdivisions, developments, and asset protection; and
Hold a current driver licence.

This position is a Band 6 currently remunerated between $93,402.79 to $102,605.90 per annum, plus superannuation. Salary level will be based on the experience level of the candidate.
