About the Position:
Be part of the Infrastructure Maintenance Unit. We seek to hear from an experienced and suitably qualified Technical Officer with experience working with Civil Infrastructure Assets. Reporting directly to the Coordinator Infrastructure Maintenance you will play a key role in providing assistance with technical issues which come through the team.
Provide technical support to the Infrastructure Maintenance team looking after the proactive and reactive maintenance of Road and Drainage Infrastructure Assets.
Supervise contractors in the maintenance and construction of Council’s Infrastructure assets such as but not limited to roads, pathways, drainage and related infrastructure assets.
Undertake inspections of Council assets associated with Shared Fencing Applications
About You:
Technical experience and knowledge in the Civil Infrastructure Maintenance and Construction Industry.
Demonstrated experience in delivering minor road and drainage infrastructure capital works projects on time and within budget.
Demonstrated experience in supervising road infrastructure contractors.
Effective communications skills both oral and written, with excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Requirements of the position:
A current driver’s licence;
Evidence of the right to work in Australia;
Satisfactory National Police Check; and
Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
