Infrastructure Planning Engineer – Traffic Transport
Permanent Full Time
Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
$89,152 - $92,863 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 5) + Superannuation

Your new role
Are you a qualified engineer seeking your next challenge? An exciting opportunity has become available for an Infrastructure Planning Engineer to join the Infrastructure Planning team. You will be responsible for undertaking moderately complex traffic and road safety planning and investigation tasks for transport related infrastructure including but not limited to roads, cycleways, footpaths and public transport.
You will also provide reports, recommendations and advice on traffic and road safety matters to Infrastructure Managers, Council, public and other organisations.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for
Demonstrated substantial work experience relevant to the position including traffic and transport engineering, and associated infrastructure planning, design and delivery and transport modelling
Bachelor of Engineering – Civil and eligible for membership of Engineers Australia as a Professional Engineer
Strong research and problem-solving abilities, combined with an innovative, forward-thinking approach
Technical knowledge of statutory requirements, policies and industry guidelines

Application Criteria
Bachelor of Civil Engineering with substantial work experience in Traffic and Transport Planning, and to be eligible for membership of Engineers Australia as a Professional Engineer.
Communication skills and ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to plan workloads and work independently.
Ability to draft correspondence, technical reports and funding applications.
Experience with Computer Aided Drafting software packages.
