Your opportunity
We are looking for a solution architect/ solution designer who is truly passionate and inquisitive about innovation – who not just thinks and breathes technology, but also the customer and business benefits of new propositions.
We currently have an opportunity to join our trans-Tasman Innovation & Partnerships team who design and deliver horizon 2+ innovations for the NAB Group (NAB, BNZ, UBank). This position can be based in either Melbourne or Sydney.
This role would suit someone looking to make the next step in their career. Someone with proven delivery and architecture experience in an innovation context, but who is equally hungry to design, learn and collaborate with a broad range of likeminded people to push the boundaries.
About the role
Owning the technical vision and development of solutions that are fit for small scale incubation, while taking into account considerations and trade-offs required for successful scaling
Working in close collaboration with proposition leads, providing options, considerations and recommendations and communicating why a solution has been selected, with benefits outlined and details of how it will be implemented
Interfacing with group technology and other functions to understand and align on technology strategy, standards and processes
Providing technical oversight for the development and running of product incubations
Supporting the design and enhancement of the innovation technology platform(s) to enable reusability across propositions
What you will bring
2 to 5 years’ experience as a solution architect or equivalent technical role with an innovation focus
Ability to work at a high level to conceptualise ideas as well as maintain architectural oversight during the concrete implementation.
The ability to establish good working relationships and collaborate across diverse internal and external stakeholders
A keen interest in staying abreast of emerging trends and digital innovations and an ability to understand the strategic impact and opportunities that arise from these
Delivery experience across the software development life cycle, multiple development methodologies, on more than one platform and across more than one business domain
Knowledge of modern architecture, design and development patterns and toolsets, including cyber security strategies and threats
Experience designing and implementing cloud solutions, and associated dev ops tooling and security controls
Experience with both packaged and custom build software
Applications will close Friday 14th April 2023
