Tulgeen Disability Services is seeking a unique individual to join our team as an Art Mentor. This casual role is not just a job, but an opportunity to inspire and be inspired. As a Disability Support worker, you will primarily work in our innovative Art in the Garage program, guiding people with disabilities to unlock their artistic potential and become artists in their own right.
This is a chance to share your creative skills and knowledge and witness the transformative power of art firsthand. You may also work within our other INSYNC programs such as INPRINT where participants develop skills in screen printing, sewing, design and more. We are looking for someone who is not just qualified, but also has a heart for people and a love of art. You should have strong communication skills, the ability to build positive relationships, and the initiative to work independently as well as part of a team. You will need:
- A Current Drivers Licence.
- Willingness to obtain a NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC).
- Willingness to obtain a
First aid Certificate.
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry.
- A history of proven client focused approach to service delivery.
- A history of exemplary service delivery within a busy team environment.
- Basic IT skills (Word, Excel and email) and an ability to learn.
- Competent verbal and written communication.
- Be organised and able to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate sensitivity & respect for diversity of clients and colleagues.
- Respect client and co-worker confidentiality and dignity in all interactions.
