Job description

City of Newcastle's newly established Environment and Sustainability Service Unit is looking for an experienced Integrated Water Cycle Engineer.

As the Integrated WaterCycle Engineer you will develop and facilitate the delivery of CN's Water-Sensitive City (WSC) Action Plan as a key deliverable of the Newcastle Environment Strategy (NES), CN's 10-year road map for a sustainable Newcastle.

You will apply your skills and experience to identify opportunities to drive CN to becoming a water-sensitive city through governance, community engagement, adaptive infrastructure, resource efficiency and mitigation of flood impacts, as well as enhancing open spaces and ecological health through creating public spaces that collect, clean and recycle water.

As the subject matter expert you will also provide specialist advice to internal and external stakeholders regarding the application of best practice urban water management and facilitate the integration of water-sensitive city principles into CN's policies, plans and projects.
