Integrated Water Management Officer

Employment Term: Part Time (.8 FTE), Fixed Term Role (2 years)

Overview of role:

The role will sit within Coliban Water’s Water and Climate Strategy team, who drive the strategic thinking for the Coliban Water region to successfully navigate the collective impacts of climate change, declining water availability, population growth and urban development.

As an Integrated Water Management Officer, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing Integrated Water Management strategies that promote sustainable water use and enhance the resilience of our water systems. This role involves collaborating with Traditional Owners, local councils, government agencies, and community groups, to deliver Integrated Water Management solutions.

A snapshot of your day

As our Integrated Water Management Officer, you’ll be accountable for:

• Co-developing IWM plans and opportunities to drive innovations across the water cycle and deliver outcomes to support the region’s communities, environment and economy.
• Leading and supporting the implementation of IWM projects in collaboration with partner organisations.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships across the water sector to drive IWM outcomes across the region.
• Supporting the Coliban Integrated Water Management Forum.

To be considered for the role, you'll have a thorough working knowledge and experience in Integrated Water Management acquired through a tertiary qualification in Environment Engineering, Environmental Science, Social Science, Sustainability and Environmental studies, Economics, or a similar degree, and/or considerable knowledge and skills gained through on-the-job training.

Salary:

This role is fixed-term for 2 years with a 0.8 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE). The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021. Band 4, $93,548 - $112,895 (Pro Rata) base salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
