About the role at BLG Business Advisers

We are on the look-out for an enthusiastic Intermediate Accountant in a full-time role. Someone who is self-motivated, ready to take on challenges and work collaboratively with others. You will assist our Managers and Directors with our end-to-end service offering for a wide portfolio of clients, with a focus on building solid relationships and being people-oriented in all of the work you produce. You will have completed, or are completing, a Bachelor of Commerce (Accountancy) degree followed by a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.

Your tasks would include:

• Managing a client base across many different industries - from restaurants and wineries, to engineers and doctors, influencers and more
• Building lasting relationships with clients and treating them like VIPs
• Providing support, tax and business advice
• Being responsible for compliance work such as preparing financial statements, income tax returns and business activity statements (BAS) for a range of clients
• Using a range of accounting software including APS, Class Super, Reckon, MYOB and Xero
• Contributing positively to the culture of BLG and working with others toward team goals

Seniority

Junior - A role for someone with some basic skills, good motivation and ability to learn. Typically up to 2 years of experience is required.

• Financial Statement Creation and Reporting - Produce financial statements and reports in a timely manner to support business needs and decisions
• Stakeholder Engagement - Partner with stakeholders to understand specifications, business requirements, and communicate insights.

• Critical thinking - Identifies and synthesizes patterns and trends amongst various sources of information to reach a meaningful conclusion, perspective or insight
