Lismore Base Hospital is seeking an Intertnal Auditor to, to provide a high level of internal audit consultancy and advisory services for the Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD), undertaking reviews and risk assessments in accordance with applicable procedures and standards.
Advising and supporting the Chief Audit Executive and the Audit and Risk Committee to ensure the effectiveness and appropriateness of internal audit, internal controls, risk management and compliance and governance.
If you have:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience. Business and non financial degrees will be considered with relevant work experience
- Experience as an Auditor in an Australian public sector agency or a for a private organisation that conducted audits on an Australian public sector agency
- Ability to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of systems and controls of operations and processes, including a demonstrated ability to solve problems by applying the theories and principles of auditing, accounting and fraud investigation in a complex public sector environment
- Ability to keep abreast of current developments and techniques affecting audit operations, including the assurance that government policies and regulations, accounting and audit standards are maintained
