Who are we?
Multicultural Communities Council Gold Coast is the peak regional body for multiculturalism, providing key services to seniors, migrants, refugees and new international arrivals. We serve the needs of multicultural residents across the Gold Coast community.
We are well-known and regarded for our role in helping people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds connect with the local community and having equal access to a range of health and well-being services.
This position will play a pivotal role in promoting a culture of transparency and engagement that aligns with Multicultural Communities Council Gold Coast, our objectives and our values.
Reporting to the Head of Business and Stakeholder Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing Internal Communications strategies and initiatives across various departments. This role will encompass close collaboration with the Office of the CEO, Community and Client Services, Human Resources, and the Marketing & Communications teams to develop and ensure consistent messaging and effective dissemination of information across the organisation.
What you will do:
- Reinforcing our brand identity internally to cultivate a sense of pride and association among our team members.
- Create and execute communication campaigns to promote internal initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal departments (HR, Culture and Wellbeing) to ensure transparency and consistency in communication.
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership in creating and delivering engaging messages, particularly during times of change, growth or challenges.
- Create and execute regular newsletters, providing updates on Company news, events, achievements and other relevant information.
- Support and facilitate the use of social intranet platforms and tools to encourage knowledge sharing and open communication.
- Create and distribute engaging video content, including CEO messaging, training videos, and company updates that appeal to our team members.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or related field.
- 1-3 years' experience in a similar position.
- Digital knowledge of content management systems i.e. WordPress, SharePoint, etc.
- Understanding and interest in Social Media marketing - Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
- Basic digital design skills for social media and email marketing, with experience in Canva or other design tools.
- Current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain one).
