Land Vehicles Systems Branch

This new branch is the encompassment of the delivery of sustainment and acquisition land-based vehicles projects for Land Systems Division in Melbourne, Victoria. This will manage several Defence Vehicle programs of current for CASG/DMO and the Commonwealth of Australia and ADF needs.

CGSVSPO (General Service Vehicle Systems Program Office)

The Commercial and General Service Vehicle Systems Program Office (CGSVSPO) is working closely with the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), Land Rover Australia, Mack Trucks Australia, Mercedes Benz Australia Pacific and Haulmark Trailers, to support the fleet for the remainder of its in-service life.

Role: Inventory ILS Manager

The Inventory Manager role within LVSB will assist the Commonwealth to develop and progress project deliverables within the set timeframe, consistent with CASG processes and procedures. This includes:

• Build relationships with suppliers and preferred industry professionals
• Manage stock, inventory and procurement of military equipment and services
• Engage with Stakeholders and managers to develop project procedures and supply accountability
• Work closely with project and inventory staff to deliver required artefacts and sourced materials
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers on RFT/RFQ responses, required spares and purchase orders and recommendations of replacements if required
• Drive continual improvement measures
• Utilize existing inventory, stock and purchasing tools including, but not limited to; MILIS (Military Integrated Logistics Inventory Systems, ROMANS (purchasing) and others applicable

Candidate professional skills and attributes requirements are based on the requirements of a Level 2 or 3 (Practitioner) ILSM including holding a relevant qualification(s)/certifications and/or appropriate industry experience of more than five years. Interstate travel may be required.

Mandatory: at least 3-year Defence experience, preferably within CASG/DMO project/sustainment environment

This is a full-time role with KBR based at Victoria Barracks Melbourne.
