As a an Inventory Planner  you'll be joining a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of wear products and services for mining equipment.

What's the Role:
  
You will work proactively with the sales, planning, and logistics functions to manage inventory purchasing and inventory levels to balance investment targets with customer service level targets. You play a key role in collaborating with the internal stakeholders and will focus on finished goods inventory management, rather than raw materials or work in progress at manufacturing sites. 
  
You will have effective communication to ensure compliance, trust and fosters smooth efficient inventory management. You'll work with Sales and Manufacturing to decide what gets stocked in each warehouse, categorize items by importance and speed of sale, and set safety stock levels that balance customer service with cost. You'll also fine-tune order quantities and lead times for smooth purchasing.
  
You'll be a keen-eyed analyst, review Forward Order Approvals for finished goods, dissecting inventory quality, settings, and KPIs to identify optimization opportunities and recommend adjustments that keep our inventory symphony in perfect pitch.

As a Key Technical Criteria:
  

  • Degree in Business, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with complex, global products, customers, and markets; proficiency in MRP systems (both Excel and Epicor); ability to analyze and refine inventory settings to drive optimal purchasing recommendations.
  • Experience not just following purchasing recommendations, but actively managing inventory settings to optimize purchasing accuracy and efficiency.
  
This role can be based in Brisbane or Newcastle.
