Project Overview:

Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy. 

Pluto Train 2 will process Scarborough gas and have an LNG capacity of ~5 million tonnes per annum. As part of the construction of Pluto Train 2, additional domestic gas infrastructure will be installed to increase capacity to ~225 Terajoules per day.   

Woodside Energy has selected Bechtel to deliver the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning scope of work for Pluto Train 2. 

Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working with this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.

Position Overview:

Inventory specialist performs functions of project site materials management, including receipt, storage and issue of project materials, consumables, and equipment, documentation and data entry, jobsite equipment and facilities rentals, and material control in the warehouse and laydown locations. 
The Inventory specialist will report operationally to the Senior Inventory Supervisor or as designated by the Field Procurement Manager.

What you bring:

-Directs the physical count and inspection of arriving material.
-Reviews purchase order receiving documentation including commercial invoices. Reviews packing lists and bills of lading for completeness and accuracy.
-Overseas material receiving reports for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
-Ensures documentation to record unsatisfactory over, short, and damage conditions of material received; ensures that corrective action is expeditiously completed and that formal Unsatisfactory, Over, Short & Damaged Reports are prepared for permanent record.
-Directs assigned personnel to ensure that material is stored in accordance with the project procurement storage plan and that the location of material in storage is properly recorded in SiteSense.
-Reviews the accomplishment of physical inventories on a timely basis to ensure valid records are continuously maintained.
-Directs assigned personnel to ensure that issues are properly controlled and documented in accordance with project procedures.
-Reviews preparation of shipping documents for materials shipped from jobsite locations.
-Ensures the traceability of industrial gas bottles and returnable cable reels and containers are tracked using assigned RFID register.
-Assist in the Disposal of surplus project materials as approved by project management and directed by Field Procurement management.
-Prepares construction equipment inspection reports for all equipment used in warehouse & laydown areas.
-Works with vendors to maintain on-site Min-Max inventories & consignment material.
-Maintains audit maintenance cycle counts as & when needed for inventory accuracy.
-Reviews incoming hazardous chemicals are stored correctly, and relevant data sheets are made available in the SDS register.
-Responsible for the safe work plan and execution of activities under their direct control.
-Processess surplus materials reports for disposal.

 

About you:

-Extensive knowledge of vendor materials, tools, consumables and safety material commonly utilized during construction.
-Experience in receiving documentation paperwork requirements.
-Strong automation skills, ability to learn new applications quickly including DSCS.
-Working knowledge of material storage and handling of equipment.
-Knowledge and understanding of field purchasing functions.
-Experience in rental agreements and administration.
-Experience in work packaging materials for construction planning.
-Proficient in organizing tasks for completion by an agreed deadline.
-Good oral and written communication.
 

Additional Information: 

This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).

The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site. Mobile phones and other personal electronic devices – i.e. wireless headphones, iPads, smart watches - are also not permitted on site. 

This position is available to both local and non-local personnel. For non-locals (FIFO/DIDO), the working roster is 3/1.
