Your Team:
Group Investigations team purpose is to investigate internal fraud and serious integrity-based misconduct-related matters involving employees, contractors and suppliers. Group Investigations also investigates external financial crime that is complex, systemic or involves organised crime where the Group has been exposed to, or suffered a loss.
Your Impact and contribution:
You will act as the first point of contact for our internal and external customers and triage matters referred by them to determine whether they meet our Service Offering. You will action internal fraud alerts identified through a suite of detection tools, as well as escalate internal fraud and or misconduct matters to the appropriate team as required.
Your Responsibilities:
Assist in the actioning and triaging of internal fraud incidents: Determining whether these matters meet the Service Offering by extracting and sourcing relevant information and supporting evidence / Sending relevant communication to our internal and external customers advising them whether or not a matter will be investigated by Group Investigations / Updating appropriate case management and reporting systems.
Actioning internal fraud alerts by undertaking relevant enquiries to determine whether the alert should be closed, escalated to Line Management/Workplace Relations or progressed within Group Investigations so a formal investigation can take place.
Provide resourcing assistance in relation to matters being investigated by Group Investigation by participating and assisting in the examination of documents, data and electronic evidence, as well as corroborating in interviews.
Preparing affidavits and witness statements in accordance with legislative requirements, as required.
Assist in the completion of staff fraud incidents: Updating Group Security and Bank systems with all relevant information / Making recommendations to your Manager regarding any procedural or control weaknesses discovered / Participate in de-briefing and other activities to drive continuous improvement across the function / Research fraud and security related trends and emerging issues / Assist in the maintenance of the Group’s case management system (Pegasus) pertaining to investigations
Undertake other ad-hoc tasks assigned by your Manager.

Build effective working relationships within other teams in Group Security as well as Business Unit staff
Your skills and experience:
High level of personal integrity & commitment to confidentiality & privacy principles
Experience in workplace computing systems and software (Excel, Word & Access, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to deliver customer service excellence.
Understanding of financial services industry products and processes.
Understanding of fraud and security issues within the banking and finance industry
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Strong attention to detail and the ability to plan and prioritise tasks
Strong written and verbal communication skills
