Join an innovative ASX listed organisation and one of Australia’s small but growing investment platform. They are now embarking on their next phase of growth and are looking for an IT manager who can help them scale their infrastructure and product offering. They are committed to providing a reliable, secure and user-friendly experience for all of their investors – retail or intermediary.
The Role
You will report to the COO and be responsible for:
Hands on leadership of the development of the platform itself, associated business systems and IT infrastructure
The operational maintenance and continual optimisation of the platform
All products and services delivered by the IT team, in particular the developers – both onsite and offsite
Inspire, lead and develop direct reports, and provide guidance in maximising efficiency via technology-based systems.
Ensuring the team understand the business vision and direction
IT budgeting
Security processes and protection (privacy, cyber etc) across the business
Training and mentoring – provide training for employees across business and technology development and new platform features

Essential skills and experience:
University qualification in IT, e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology
Proven experience in a similar industry – investment / financial services is a preference and a definite advantage
Proven stakeholder management experience with the ability to manage up and across the business
Demonstrated technology management experience with building, managing, and maintaining commercial and bespoke applications
Proven experience with system and product development and content with be hands on in the development aspect of the role
Team management experience within Financial Services environments and managing remote teams
Broad experience across infrastructure, applications, service delivery management and associated tools and technologies
Knowledge of IT Security, data protection, risk and compliance
Project/Program Management experience with skills in developing and showcasing technology roadmaps in consultation with stakeholders
Excellent communication skills with a collaborative personality
Experience in delivering projects and continuous improvements of IT services
Specific Skills Required:
Angular (Version 12+)

Ideal:
NestJS
Azure or AWS (Azure is preferable)
C#
Redux or NGRX
Jest or Jasmine or Karma or Mocks or Angular test-driven development
Good to have:
