About the role
Due to internal promotions, we have a fantastic opportunity available for two IT Officer’s to be mentored, coached, and developed to attend to Level 1 support enquiries. In this busy role, we offer you full training to enable you to look after all areas of IT, including networking, telephones, in-house system, support the KING showrooms. warehouse depots and managers whist providing proactive customer service.
This is a great role for someone fresh out of university or TAFE, who is looking to grow their skills and be part of a collaborative, supportive and progressive team. To be successful you will be able to identify needs, answer requests and work with limited supervision on a broad range of IT tasks. This role is to be performed on site based in the KING Turrella head office.
Your Typical Day
- Maintain Databases of User Accounts.
- Set up and close down meeting rooms including general housekeeping.
- Service, monitor and manage Helpdesk.
- Preventative maintenance - updates of printers/Software upgrades/installs.
- Install and set up new computers, laptops, routers, printers and wireless networks.
- Beta testing software changes made by programmers.
- Identify bugs in system and advise programmers
- Assist customers with support requests and escalate as required in a timely matter
- Create and Maintain Internal System Documentation.
- Provide Level 1 Support and assist Level 2 & 3 IT Team Members in various Tasks.
Full training will be provided. You will between the hours of 8am to 6pm (8am to 4pm or 10am to 6pm) on a rotating roster or fixed roster. The choice is yours!
About you
- Be tertiary qualified with a Degree or Diploma in IT.
- Entry to 1 year experience working in a Level 1 support role.
- Familiar with Microsoft 365 Products and service, Windows/macOS/iOS operating systems (not essential).
- Familiar with desktop and laptop hardware components.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and flexible approach.
- Thirst to learn with the ability to pick up things quickly in a fast paced and agile environment.
- Confident to ask questions to investigate and trouble shoot.
- Knowledge of IPV4 Networking and basic understanding of Wireless Technologies.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise to meet deadlines.
- Be a team player who is collaborative and or able to work autonomously.
- Brings a proactive and positive approach to everything you do.
