About the role and team
We have a newly created opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Technology team. The Technology team at Hall & Wilcox has approximately 17 team members nationally structured across infrastructure, development, application support, information security and service desk.
The IT Project Manager will work closely with the Director - Technology, the broader Technology team and other stakeholders to effectively plan and manage technology projects end to end.
Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- leading and managing end to end technology projects including:
- defining project objectives, scope and deliveries in collaboration with the Director - Technology and internal stakeholders.
- developing and maintaining detailed project plans, action lists, budgets and resource and task allocations.
- resource allocation;
- adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project;
- monitoring progress of key deliverables, identify and resolving issues as they arise;
- scheduling project meetings and taking project meeting minutes;
- communicating project status and updates to internal stakeholders;
- monitoring scope changes, resourcing issues and risks;
- implementing project management principles and tools to help deliver successful project outcomes;
- adhering to change management frameworks
- implementing change management controls and tools;
- identifying project opportunities; and
- drafting periodic project reports for management meetings.
Skills and experience
We are keen to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience:
- tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline;
- project management qualification (PMP, Prince2)
- minimum two years’ experience in IT project management delivering projects end to end;
- strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools;
- strong change management skills;
- strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects;
- excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- ability to work collaboratively and independently; and
- proficient in at least one project management tool (MS Project, Trello, Jira).
