Job Description

The IT Service Continuity Manager is responsible and accountable for ensuring that TAL’s DR systems testing is managed to support APRA CPS232 requirements and TAL’s business objectives.

Being part of the Infrastructure & Operations Infrastructure Team, this is a critical role that is driven by high performance culture, collaboration, and delivering operational excellence right across TAL, to ensure we protect our customers and partners and maintain the resilience & reputation of our business.

The role will engage with multiple internal stakeholders across different business units. Key contacts being Risk Office and Technology teams. At times, there may be a need to interact and engaged with external parties such group partners.

The incumbent will be the interface between the Risk Office, the business and technology teams to assess critical IT systems that needs to be tested to support business processes. This dynamic role will have regular interactions with various stakeholders (offshore and onshore) to drive governance and accuracy to comply with regulatory obligations.

Key Accountabilities:
Ensure technology business continuity plans are robust, maintained and regularly tested to support regulatory obligations.
Assess design and change activities relating to DR services.
Capture and document relevant design or architecture artefacts relating to critical systems.
Lead and cultivate a culture of resiliency and performance to deliver fit for purpose services to support TAL business, with consideration for our customers, partners, employees and broader business strategy.
Develop and foster positive working relationships within the organisation.
Ensure appropriate governance, frameworks, knowledge & capabilities are adhered to enable compliance with all regulatory standards & requirements aligning to risk appetite.
Support business value by collaborating with business, technology partners and suppliers to define recovery roadmap and strategy.
Support risk, audit, and compliance activities.
Schedule, conduct and report on rigorous testing of technology services hosted on-premises/cloud.
Identify opportunities for automation and innovation.
Understand technology risks to ensure appropriate systems controls are enforced to safeguard assets.

Qualifications

Experience working with ServiceNow, CMDB and BCM module
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing disaster recovery, business continuity planning and testing.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in technology with a strong focus on systems resiliency
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in supporting multi-tiered infrastructure and application services
Strong planning and time management skills
Good knowledge on cloud technologies (AWS/Azure, SaaS, PaaS and IaaS)
Experience in providing a robust challenge on risks associated with technology services.
Good knowledge of industry and market trends to determine potential impacts on technology environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate infrastructure concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences at various hierarchical levels.
Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations.
Critical thinker, with strong problem-solving and consulting skills.
Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Ability to lead and motivate both direct and indirect team members.
Good knowledge of cyber and information frameworks.
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
