We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced IT Support Officer for a front facing permanent position based in Henderson.
Reporting directly to the IT Coordinator, the IT Support Officer will assist to ensure all computer systems run efficiently. This position will also assist the ongoing systems support and development, maintenance of the company intranet and website, as well assistance internal IT issues.
About the Role
- Front facing IT and Management of Inhouse IT functions
- Setting up new users, resetting passwords
- Setting up new email accounts, email forwarding, out of office notifications,
- Assisting in the setup of new devices such as notebooks, PC's, tablets, phones
- 0365 and Exchange incident response and request fulfillment
- End User Computer preparation and setup
- Security incident response
- Azure and Active Directory Administration (Tier 1 / 2)
- OneDrive and SharePoint incidents response and request fulfillment
- Networking troubleshooting
- Laptop/Desktop troubleshooting
- WAN/LAN troubleshooting (Tier 1 /2)
- User login issues
- Router troubleshooting (Tier 1/ 2)
- End-User service and Peripheral troubleshooting
- Follow and create Knowledge Articles to resolve incidents/requests
The ability to also assist with higher duties as and when required;
- Providing onsite and remote IT support for end users at within Henderson and Pilbara/Bunbury offices.
- Managing IT infrastructure including network, server, storage, telephony and associated technologies to ensure system run efficiently.
- Maintaining data and network integrity and security. Responding to incidents and resolving problems throughout the information system lifecycle, including the implementation of remedies to prevent future incidents compliance to ISO27001 standard.
- Managing the Microsoft Active Directory domain, exchange server, applications and backup/recovery systems along with the hybrid on premises and cloud infrastructure.
- Oversee ICT system across the group and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Develops long range and short-range plans and schedules for the acquisition and installation of equipment, including transition from old to new procedures
- Undertaking negotiations with suppliers of hardware and software. Liaising and managing vendors/suppliers for IT optimization upgrade project.
- Implement corporate information strategies from statements of direction and follow them through to end-user operations and training
To be successful for this position, you must possess the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology.
- High level of all round communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of achievement in management of large IT projects.
- Ability to make decisions and follow through on decisions
- High interpersonal skills
- Ability to function within team environment
- Self-starting and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience with VMware/ Hyper-V Microsoft Windows server / Active Directory / Exchange / SQL Microsoft Azure / 365 Veeam Backup and Cyber security fundamentals, would be highly regarded.
