Java Technical Lead (Contract)

Job Title: Java Technical Lead 
 
6-Month Contract (likely extension)

Overview:
 
This pivotal role involves overseeing both Business-As-Usual (BAU) projects and supporting the integration teams, focusing on middleware integration and distributed architecture. The position will specifically address re-architecting critical projects and optimize push notification communication. 
 
This will be a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the distributed architectures affecting multiple areas of this enterprise organization. 
 
Although you will not be directly responsible for people leadership you will be leading on projects and communication with the business and other engineering teams. 

Responsibilities:

- Lead solution design and re-architecture efforts within the integration team.
- Provide Technical Leadership and guidance for successful project implementation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Work closely with 3rd party vendors as necessary for project integration.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability.

Requirements:

- Strong expertise in middleware integration
- Strong exposure to Distributed architecture.
- Proficiency in Java and the latest frameworks.
- Experience with REST API development.
- Familiarity with Kafka for real-time data streaming.
- Strong exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Work Arrangement:

- Hybrid working model, with 2-3 days per week onsite.

Stakeholders:

- Interaction with 2 squads in the integration team, business stakeholders, Business Analysts, and other relevant parties.
