Your new role:
In your new role as the JET1 OD Hardware Support Engineer you will be responsible is responsible providing technical interface between the JET1 and the subcontractors responsible for delivering the JET1 sensors.

Key responsibilities will be:
  • Responsible for delivery of technical outcomes associated with the JET1 Multipole Sensors and Single Pole Sensors, including technical activities for assurance and certification that the product meets customer and regulatory requirements, and is safe within its designed environment
  • Contributing to input onto the Technical Risk (project and technical integrity) within the JET1 project and support the Project Manager and Project Engineering Manager in the Risk Management
  • Acting as engineering point of contact with subcontractors for physical and functional integration of the Sensors into JET1 Systems (Mission and Support)
  • Providing technical leadership to the development of JET1 sensor engineering and technical documentation, including work being undertaken by Subcontractors
  • Providing engineering input required for the accurate Engineering and Project status reporting
  • Participating in the JORN Enterprise Working Groups as required / applicable to JET1
  • Managing the review sub-contractor engineering artefacts and data. – act as an engineering acceptance authority
  • Equipment, Materials, Facilities associated with JET1.
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
  • Substantial experience within an electrical/electronic engineering discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in the practice military systems engineering
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability in technical report writing
  • Experience in the development of electronic/electrical equipment designs, participation in design reviews, undertaking typical design analyses and implementation of hardware solutions, their integration, validation, qualification testing and delivery and support
  • Ideally previous experience working with subcontractors in the delivery of military systems
  • Desirable – knowledge in ICT Engineering
  • A Mechanical and/or electrical engineering or technology degree qualified or equivalent experience
  • Eligibility to apply for CPEng through the Institute of Engineers Australia
  • NV1 Minimum Clearance.
