Form of work Ayan Infotech is currently in need of a Junior IT Project Manager/Project Coordinator to take up an initial 8-month contract position in North Sydney.
This role is responsible for assisting the project team to undertake the planning and delivery of projects or parts of projects under contract for ICT Business Systems, ensuring that time, scope, costs, safety and quality objectives are met. The Junior IT Project Manager/Project Coordinator will utilise a multiskilled field resource and subcontractor workforce to achieve the successful delivery of all managed projects.
It will be highly favourable to have digital project experience within the Engineer or Construction industry sector.
Tasks involved in the role include, but are not limited to:
Plan and manage assigned projects from initiation through to project closure, including assisting in the development of business cases.
Document management
Project day to day scheduling and forecasting, including weekly and monthly reporting in Service now
Assist the project management team with management of project procurement activities including subcontract tendering and head/subcontract contract administration
Schedule field teams and subcontractors to ensure a high level of performance in terms of time, safety, cost, quality and compliance with customer contractual requirements
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the company's project management systems and processes
Develop strong customer relationships with project team and field teams to deliver successful project delivery
Experience:
Track Record of at least 3-5 years of Project Management, managing/coordinating IT projects or equivalent experience
Prince 2 and PMBok certified is highly favourable.
Graduate of an accredited university with major studies in computer science, project management, or related fields.
Demonstrated success in a dynamic, fast paced project environment with shifting priorities, matrix managed resource pools, and tight deadlines.
Service oriented and bright, professional, who is outgoing, responsible self-starter and willing to take initiative.
Strong knowledge of negotiating, organization development/change management, strategic planning, action planning and supervision are required for successful performance.
Very strong conceptual, analytical, judgement and communication abilities are critical.
Rate on offer is $600 a day, relevant to experience. There is also strong possibility for the contract to be extended for another 8-months.
