Help people living with illness, disability, or injury return to work or obtain new employment and live the best life they can!
- Work collaboratively with injured workers, potential employers, and your internal team of allied health professionals to provide safe, sustainable opportunities for workers to re-enter the workforce;
- Contribute to injured workers ability to achieve return to work goals through job skills development, confidence building and promoting independence;
- Apply and deliver customer service in employment services and job placement;
- Empower clients to effectively present their skills and abilities when seeking employment;
- Brokering new employment or work experience opportunities in remote and regional areas which in turn, provide a swift re-engagement into employment for workers who have been detached from the workplace;
- Build strong relationships with local employers and organisations;
- Assist in developing written reports and brokering vocational programs that support return to work outcomes.
- Ideally you will be working towards a tertiary qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology with an interest in exploring Occupational Rehabilitation as a future career path;
- Have a passion for Employment Services or Disability Employment. Experience in employment services, case management, disability employment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of worker's compensation, rehabilitation and occupational health and safety legislation;
- Be a driven and an energetic professional, with a personable approach and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations, grow services and build relationships;
- A strong verbal and written communicator;
- Have the confidence and initiative to solve problems and achieve outcomes;
- Excellent time management skills, be able to work autonomously as well as within a team environment;
- Current driver licence, road worthy motor vehicle and comprehensive insurance; sue to location some travel will be expected.
