Key tasks of the JVES Recruitment Officer
- Engage and source employers and key stakeholders within the recommended locations.
- Face to face marketing JVES participants to employers and obtain vacancies that are suitable to JVES program.
- Engage with job ready participants as deemed by the Mentor, pre-screen, job search to their skillset and match roles suitable. Promote the participant to the employer and negotiate interview for both parties.
- Enter placements into GEMS within a timely manner and ensure placements are cross-checked to avoid non-pay outcomes.
- Conduct Post Placement Support for participants in work and provide support for work related items. Conduct Post Placement Support with employers and provide support.
Location: Glenroy,Victoria
Contract: Full time and Part Time role available. Contract until June 2023, with the possibility to extend.
JVES Recruitment Officer is responsible for:
- initiating, expanding and strengthening employer relationships to meet Jobs Victoria Employment Services (JVES) work placements and employment initiatives.
- ascertaining employer needs, pre-screening suitable applicants and providing post placement support to employers and participants, as required.
The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications, providing answers to the Key Selection Criteria listed below when submitting your application:
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and achieve outcomes in a performance driven environment.
- Ability to maintain accurate records (electronic and paper based).
- Demonstrated understanding of contract requirements and guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with employers, participants and other stakeholders.
- Proven ability to motivate and build rapport participants to achieve positive employment related results.
