About the role
Based in Newcastle West, an opportunity has arisen for a Junior Accounts Officer to join our Finance team. You will be responsible for providing financial and administrative support to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the lodgement and claims for tenant bonds including weekly collation and payment of rental bonds
- Assisting with General ledger reconciliations
- Completing weekly invoicing
- Preparing routine invoices to tenants for Water usage and maintenance charges
- Providing general office support that includes completing bank deposits, faxing remittances, collecting mail, answering phones, etc
We are seeking someone who is interested in looking to start their career in accounting, good with numbers and an eye for detail.
Essential selection criteria:
- Completion of Higher school Certificate
- High competence of numeracy and literacy
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of general accounting concepts and their applications and in use of accounting applications
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft applications in particular Excel, Word and mail merge functions
- Flexible working arrangements either 9-day fortnight or monthly RDO
