AddressAt GHD, our Delivery Phase Services team are growing rapidly into a leading delivery partner for large-scale Hydrogen, Renewable Energy, Closure and Future Energy Minerals projects.
We are looking for a Junior Project Accountant to join the team. In this role you will provide project support and assist in the preparation of estimates, monitoring and analysing project cost performance and providing accurate and timely reporting across multiple projects.
Our Delivery Phase Services Region allows this the position to be located in either Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth.

Key responsibilities include:
- Provide support to Project teams the formation of their Project budgets.
- Assist in maintaining actuals, incurred, committed and forecast costs in the project management systems.
- Assist in maintaining the project finance system on assigned projects.
- Assist in ensuring project trends and variations are captured.
- Data gathering for preparation of accurate and timely project cost reports for internal and external clients including Monthly Project Reports and Project estimates.
- Assist in preparing project progress claims, project set ups and project close outs.
- Coordination and monitoring of project workflow.
What you will bring to the team:
- Your ability to learn, your flexibility, and eagerness to help.
- Up to 2 years' post graduate experience in finance or project accounting.
- Problem solving skills.
- Diligent and methodical approach with good attention to detail.
- Experience in software such as MS Excel and Word and Power BI is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate concisely.
- Pro-activeness and willingness to support the success of the team.
- Accounting background and or Project experience is desirable but not essential.
