About the role
The role of Junior Project Design Manager is to support the Project Design Manager with the day-to-day delivery of major capital works projects and assist the Design team with administrative support.
This is a permanent full-time role based at our head office in St Leonards with some working from home flexibility.
Key responsibilities
- Project feasibility: Capture and document client requirements and develop briefing documents include RFT and deliverables schedules
- Building Design: Coordinate the development of consultant drawings, specifications, and construction documents; program and communicate design phases on each project; manage correspondence on project management system (Uniphi)
- Town Planning: Track statutory approvals, coordinating consultant documentation for authority applications and RFI; preparing presentations
- Consultant administration: seek fee proposals, prepare recommendations; invoicing; scheduling meetings
- Preparing budgets and PCG reports
- Maintaining sustainability matrix
- Post occupancy reviews
- Supporting design team with general administration
About You
- Minimum of 3 years demonstrated practical experience in a project management, design or construction role
- Tertiary qualifications in project management/architecture or construction desirable
- Strong communication skills and ability to juggle conflicting priorities
- Strong ‘can do’ attitude
- Strong administrative and computer skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Empathy and patience
- Experience in Aged Care/Health NFP environment is desirable
