We have an opportunity for an innovative, enthusiastic, and experienced Junior School Teacher to join our team on a 0.4FTE contract working 2 days per week for the 2023 School Year. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Have thorough knowledge of the subject matter to enable the course objectives to be taught
- Set programmes and lesson objectives based on the Australian curriculum
- Understanding of and experience in the Primary Years Programme and / or Guided Inquiry
- Give feedback to students, encourage and involve students in class to enable them to fulfil their potential
- Maintain control of class discipline to sustain appropriate work habits
- Use appropriate assessment items and accurately record all marks and results for student assessment
- Promote a trusting and caring approach within the classroom
- Ability to relate well to students, recognising both the pastoral and educative aspects of the student-teacher relationship
- Maintain an interest in the welfare of students and promote the well-being of students
