Job description

Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is the largest paediatric health care entity in Australia. We care for thousands of children each year in our hospitals and in their homes — with one purpose in mind — to help young people live their healthiest lives.

Work with our dynamic Simulation Team in a role that assists in delivering education throughout the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, for both our Westmead and Randwick campuses. This role offers the opportunity to gain new skills and experiences for future advancement.

What you'll be doing

The Kids Simulation Australia (KSA) Administrative Officer is responsible for providing administrative expertise to proactively support the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) simulation service.

Utilising a consumer-centered approach, the primary function of this role is providing administrative support to the Kids Simulation Australia (KSA) simulation service at both the Children’s Hospital Westmead (CHW) and Sydney Children’s Hospital (SCH) simulation centers.

An eligibility list will be created for future temporary part time vacancies.

  1. Previous experience working in an administrative role, preferably in a hospital or education environment

  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills for face-to-face, telephone and email interactions

  3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as ability to work collaboratively as part of a busy education service, seeking assistance when required and providing assistance to other team members when required

  4. Proficiency and demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office, or similar system, with multiple person calendaring and scheduling (electronic diary)

  5. Previous experience in data entry, minute taking, and production of agenda/minutes

  6. Excellent organisational skills to manage and prioritise workload

  7. Australian Citizenship/Permanent residency status
