What we are looking for:
- Demonstrated operational knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge in relation to specimen processing and preparation within the CSR of a Pathology Queensland laboratory
- Demonstrated operational knowledge of Central Specimen Reception procedures, and medical and scientific terminology.
- Demonstrated knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge of blood collection, including procedures to be followed in abnormal circumstances, and ability to show empathy, compassion and understanding towards patients.
- Demonstrated word processing skills, and computer data input and retrieval skills.
- Demonstrated literacy and numeracy skills.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work with a high level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team independently and at times without direct supervision.
- This position may require that during period of high operational demand participates on a continuous shift roster working day, evening and night shifts as required to provide a 24 hour / 7 days per week service delivery.
